Forward Private RFID Authentication Protocol Based on Universal Hash Function
نویسندگان
چکیده
Privacy of RFID systems is receiving increasing attention with the progress of Internet of Things. There are a number of challenges in providing privacy and security in the RFID tag due to the limited computation ability of low-cost RFID tags. Many research works have already been conducted using hash functions and pseudorandom numbers to design the RFID protocol. But few of them involve the detail implementation methods of hash functions that can be used. The paper proposes a universal hash function HM−hash that is suitable for low-cost RFID tags. A mutual and forward private authentication protocol MFPA is designed based on HM−hash. Finally, the security proofs of MFPA are provided under standard model instead of random oracle model. For the first time, the security of the protocol is proofed based on hardware circuit which makes the result more credible.

A Strong Lightweight Authentication Protocol for Low-cost RFID Systems
RFID is an important technology that can be used to create the ubiquitous society. But an RFID system uses open radio frequency signal to transfer information and this leads to pose many serious threats to its privacy and security. In general, the computing and storage resources in an RFID tag are very limited and this makes it difficult to solve its secure and private problems, especially for ...

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and biometric technologies saw fast evolutions during the last years and which are used in several applications, such as access control. Among important characteristics in the RFID tags, we mention the limitation of resources (memory, energy, ...). Our work focuses on the design of a RFID authentication protocol which uses biometric data and which confirms ...
متن کاملAn Efficient Improvement on Safkhani et al.’s Hash-Based Mutual Authentication Protocol for RFID Systems
Nowadays, plenty of radio frequency identification (RFID) systems have been proposed and used in the real world for convenience. An RFID system requires advanced properties of confidentiality, indistinguishability, forward security and mutual authentication to provide a higher security level. Safkhani et al. proposed a hash-based authentication protocol for RFID systems. Though their protocol p...

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications have spread all over the world. In order to provide their security and privacy, researchers proposed different kinds of protocols. In this paper, we analyze the privacy of a new protocol, proposed by Yu-Jehn in 2015 which is based on Electronic Product Code Class1 Generation 2 (EPC C1 G2) standard. By applying the Ouafi_Phan privacy model, we s...
